The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that a witness told the Florida Highway Patrol that Tiger Woods was drinking the night of his car accident and that same witness told the police Woods was on prescribed medication. The witness said the golfer was taking Ambien and Vicodin. The information was contained in a one-page document that was given by Trooper Joshua A. Evans to Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s in hopes of getting “medical blood results”.
Assistant State Attorney Steve Foster denied the request citing insufficient information to lawfully issue a subpoena. Troopers said in the request they suspected Tiger of driving under the influence with property damage. The Orlando Sentinel says the report stated the same witness who removed Tiger from his vehicle stated that he was also prescribed medication.
