Three months after hitting two cars while allegedly driving drunk, Largo police officer Darren Cockeram has been fired according to a story on TBO.com. While no one was injured in the car crash, Cockeram pleaded no contest to charges of driving under the influence and was given probation.
The incident that led to his initial arrest took place in late August. The Largo police officer was pulling a personal watercraft behind his truck when he rear-ended a car on U.S. 19. At some point after that he also sideswiped another car. He left the scene and was arrested later.
