We always tell you that if you have been drinking do not get behind the wheel. Take a cab. A couple in Treasure Island, Florida may have been following that exact advice. The only problem is their cab driver was allegedly driving drunk. Jose Mirelez was arrested on DUI charges with two passengers in the back seat of his United Taxi cab.
According to a story on TampaBay.com, Mirelez was pulled over at 3:00 a.m. after police say they observed the 28-year-old swerving and driving on the wrong side of the road. The St. Petersburg man allegedly smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. He refused to take a breath test. Mirelez has two previous arrests on charges of driving without a license.
