Stephanie Labarga, the daughter of a Florida Supreme Court Justice, has been arrested on charges of DUI in Palm Beach County. The 23-year-old from Wellington had a blood alcohol content measuring twice the legal limit according to the Palm Beach Post. Officers report stopping her for speeding and noticing she had bloodshot eyes and smelled strongly of alcohol. She apparently admitted to drinking and begged the officer to let her go.
Labarga blew a 0.173 and 0.177 following her arrest. She was allegedly driving over the speed limit with her blinker on. She was stopped after 1:30 a.m. and booked into jail around 4:00 a.m. Her father was a former Palm Beach County Circuit Judge and became famous for refusing a new vote in the hotly debated 2000 presidential election between Al Gore and Gorge W. Bush.
